Job Description

  • Only local talents will be considered (New York), this is Day- 1 onsite hybrid role.
  • Candidate must be ready for F2F customer discussion
  • Work on architecting designs and implementing changes in mainframe systems
  • Assess and strategize Cobol upgrades, including defining upgrade environment, compiler options, etc.
  • Possess deep technical skills in Cobol, DB2, JCL, VSAM, and CICS
  • Optional technical skills in Easytrieve and Rexx
  • Experience in upgrading Cobol from lower versions to V5/V6
  • Execute projects using Agile methodology
  • Lead teams both on-site and offshore, coordinating their activities
  • Develop test strategies and plans, and support system and QA testing, as well as User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Provide implementation support for Cobol upgrades
  • Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Provide status reports to the customer
  • Interact regularly or as needed with customer Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to team members
