Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an Agile Coach for a contract-to-hire position in Richfield, MN.
Position Summary: We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Agile Coach. We are in the initial stages of implementing scrum in our IT department. The Scrum Coach will assist teams in adopting agile principles and improving their velocity of value delivery. The focus will be working with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Managers to learn new ways of working. This role will also help teams that want to get started but lack the awareness of how to do so.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
- Facilitate the activities of Agile teams by encouraging and supporting the team to self-manage their iterations by living the value of a "leader who serves.
- Provide training on various agile practices to help a team improve from their current state.
- Ensure self-organized team's continuous improvement through monitoringand coaching.
- Mentor and Coach Scrum Masters to successfully transition roles and ensure long term success of teams.
- Mentor and Coach Product Owners to ensure long term success of the teams.
- Assist in scheduling and facilitating Scrum team ceremonies including release and sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, demos, and retrospectives.
- Remove impediments for teams and escalate issues as appropriate.
- Develop team members through coaching and by fostering a positive work environment.
- Focused responsibility on upskilling Scrum Masters across departments.
Qualifications:
- Experience playing the Scrum Master role for 3 years in a software development team.
- Experience bringing Scrum to least one new team.
- Excellent communication and high level of emotional intelligence.
- Knowledge of various Agile Practices outside of Scrum.
- Willingness to Train and Coach teams while mentoring scrum masters
- Experience working in a continuous delivery environment.
- Scrum Master Certification or equivalent training
- Understand the fundamentals of agile and iterative development.
- Expert facilitator and collaborator.
- High energy, effective leader with the attitude of empowerment and ability to lead their team to self-organization.
Preferred:
- Certified Scrum Professional, Certified Scrum Trainer, or Certified Scrum Coach.
- Certified Scrum@Scale and/or LeSS Practitioner
- 4-year degree in a related field.
