What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel Mechanic position at Talent Strategy?
Shift: 1st (Days - 7am to 5pm)
Pay: $30-36/hr
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair Class 8 trucks and trailers
- Work on chassis components, lift axels, PTO components, air/electric controls, air and braking systems, engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, steering systems, heating and air, etc.
- Occasional yard equipment service and repair
- Assist in coordinating daily ship operations and ensuring timely completion of repair tasks
- Performs computer repair diagnostics to determine root cause of issue
- Roadside repair and maintenance utilizing a company service truck on occasion
- Occasional weekend needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience scheduling work and managing budget preferred
Qualifications:
- Trade School or Diesel Technology education
- 5 years of experience as diesel mechanic
- State Mechanic Certifications preferred
- Strong troubleshooting ability
