WHAT OUR CLIENT DOES:
Our client is an Industrial Refrigeration contractor doing work in the Pacific Northwest. They service and repair all aspects of ammonia refrigeration systems, including maintenance, new systems, compressor rebuilds, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
The Ammonia Service Technician will be responsible for providing maintenance and repairs on industrial refrigeration/ammonia systems while providing superior customer service to our clients. This will include performing routine and emergency industrial refrigeration repair and maintenance services on ammonia refrigeration equipment, which includes compressors and electrical troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Troubleshoot and repair ammonia industrial refrigeration, mechanical and electrical systems
- Demonstrate knowledge of ammonia refrigeration, electrical and micro compressor control systems
- Utilize working knowledge of screw compressors, electrical troubleshooting of common types of ammonia refrigeration systems, and control alarm systems
- Demonstrate exceptional safety knowledge of tools, testing devices, and surroundings
- Read and interpret ammonia refrigeration manuals, documents, and drawings
- Work unsupervised or with limited instruction
- Adhere to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- Available to be on call nights and weekends as required, as well as work overtime on a regular basis
- Available to travel up to 25% of the year
- Valid driver’s license
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive ammonia refrigeration experience
- EPA universal license required within 30 days of employment
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Capable of climbing ladders to high elevations
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
