Talento Search Group has an opening for a Production Supervisor in the Wauseon,Ohio. This is a direct-hire position and the pay rate is $45,000-$50,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a 1st shift position.
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of employees engaged in all phases of the plant operations and maintenance
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Scheduling, directing and overseeing production workers.
- Communicating to production personnel known quality issues regarding daily production.
- Time keeping
- Managing the preventative maintenance schedule ensuring shutdowns are planned thoroughly and in a timely manner.
- Monitoring quality, efficiency, safety and documentation of maintenance work performed.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable safety requirements and
- Interacting with employees to identify safety needs/risks, share safety knowledge and demonstrate safety leadership, providing safety training for employees once each month as well as providing daily reminders.
- Performing safety audits, risk assessment, industrial hygiene, root cause analysis, accident prevention, corrective actions, safety standards and certification.
Experience Needed:
- High school diploma or GED required
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing environment
- Excellent team-building skills
- Analytical and project management skills
- Total engagement with company principles (safety, people, profit)
- Strong problem solving skills, capable of applying sound judgement and reason to solutions.
