Providence Staffing has a leading non-profit organization seeking a General Dentist dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to patients in Troy, AL, and surrounding areas. Responsibilities:
- Review patients' medical records and history to assess their dental needs and concerns.
- Prepare patients for treatment by explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
- Perform thorough dental examinations, including assessing the health of teeth, gums, and oral tissues, as well as reviewing X-rays and diagnostic tests.
- Diagnose dental conditions such as tooth decay and gum disease, and develop comprehensive treatment plans to address them.
- Perform restorative procedures, including cavity fillings, dental prosthetics, and teeth-whitening treatments, to restore oral health and enhance smiles.
- Perform surgical procedures, such as tooth extractions, root canal therapy, and periodontal surgeries, to address advanced dental issues.
- Prescribe medication as needed to alleviate pain and manage infections associated with dental conditions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations, to promote long-term oral health.
- Schedule regular check-ups and preventive dental care appointments to monitor oral health and address any emerging issues.
Requirements:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD), or similar degree from an accredited dental school.
- In-depth understanding of dental anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Proficiency in operating dental equipment and instruments, including X-ray machines, dental drills, and surgical instruments.
- Experience performing surgical procedures, including tooth extractions and periodontal surgeries.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients, with the ability to build trust and rapport.
- Active dental license in the state of Alabama, or eligibility to obtain licensure.

Pay: $204,761.00 - $298,764.00 per year
