Immediate opening for a Logistics Dispatcher in Sumner, WA who possesses:
- 2-3 years of dispatch experience with long term planning in the shipping, logistics, or moving and storage industry
- Ability to foster teamwork, multi-task, and prioritize
- Experience with MoverSuite
FULL DESCRIPTION: The Local Dispatcher is responsible for dispatching crews and trucks locally according to customer requests, specifications or needs to ensure timely and efficient completion of all orders.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Prepare daily schedules
- Relay shipment orders, messages and information to or from work crews, supervisors and quality control
- Working on International and Commercial shipments
- Hands-on coordination with and support of drivers, packers, loaders for local and long-distance moves
- Develop working relationships with other agents to produce backhaul shipments and SIT
- Address questions, problems and requests for service or equipment
- Adhere to maintenance and safety programs
- Monitor quality assurance and timeliness of crews
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and outlook.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- At least 2 years of related experience
- Ability to foster team work
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
