A leading international cargo company is seeking to immediately hire a Sales/ BD Account Executive for Domestic Trucking in Elizabeth, NJ/ Hybrid in NY Office. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITES:
- Develop new business by solicitation and relationship building with potential new and existing customers.
- Document all sales activity in our internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) to evaluate new business and measure sales closure results.
- Collaborate with Sales Team to develop new and previous business.
- Perform all aspects of the sales strategy, including problem-solving, presentations of TMS services and capabilities, cultivating relationships, and identifying new business opportunities.
- Participate in some face-to-face meetings for discovery, present TMS presentation, offer solutions, and close business.
- Prospect new customers through various channels, including phone, email, etc.
- Available to travel through the West Coast (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco/Oakland, Seattle/Tacoma.)
- Ability to navigate and understand TMS platform to manage daily tasks such as account management, tracking, and tracing.
- Partner internally to build solutions for customers, Air, and Ocean for future growth opportunities.
- Manage quarter/yearly sales Plans, travel schedules, expense reports, CRM documentation, and sales reports.
- Collaborate with Sales Manager on marketing, operations, finance, claims, and other departments, as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- We are looking for a candidate who is dynamic, highly motivated and reliable and who understand and appreciate the importance of team effort.
- A four-year college degree and/or work experience, or a mix of education and experience. 2-3 years of similar sales experience required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with TMS systems for LTL /FTL trucking Experience from an NVOCC, Freight Forwarder or 3PL background is preferred.
