What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pediatrician position at Tandem Health?
The Pediatrician provides direct care for children from birth to adolescence in a primary care setting. Performs medical examinations and evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, follow-up, consultations, and health education for patients within the scope of expertise. Responsibilities include precepting the pediatric Nurse Practitioner and assuming an active role in meetings and other team building activities. Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications:
- Must have successfully completed medical training at a (4) four year accredited medical school and received a M.D. Degree.
- Current license with the SC Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation Board of Medical Examiners.
- Completed successfully a residency in a pediatric care setting.
- Three or more years of experience beyond residency in a pediatric care setting.
- Must be able to work with a variety of people at different developmental levels.
- Must possess the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
- Must be flexible as to the changing needs of the center.
- Must maintain prescriptive authority recognition.
- Must have the ability to work as a team player at all times.
- Current CPR certification required.
