A services company in New Jersey is currently seeking a new Assembly Technician for a promising opportunity with their growing team. In this role, the Assembly Technician will be responsible for performing technical tasks affiliated with testing or assembling the company's products.
Responsibilities:
The Assembly Technician will be responsible for:
- Building new or modified mechanical components for products, such as electro-mechanical and electronic assemblies
- Setting up and reviewing complete units and components; performing quality inspection
- Following instructions, responding to management direction and asking for & offering help, when needed
- Observing safety and security procedures
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1-year certificate from College and/or Technical School; or; 6 months of related experience and/or training; or, equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Experience to complement assembly
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company policies, etc.
- Solid problem solving and time management skills
- Great interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
