A financial services company in North Carolina is actively seeking a dynamic and diligent professional to join their staff as their new QA Test Engineer. In this role, the QA Test Engineer will perform test case creation, test plan creation, and actual automated and manual test execution.

- Evangelize automation and assist other QA team members through mentorship, tutorials, and writing scripts to speed up their manual testing efforts
- Perform and lead processes related to testing activities for new systems and applications
- Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications
- Serves as a mentor to lower-level testing engineers and may provide work direction to others in project team(s)
- Reviews and analyze requirements
- Maintain ownership of test cases and testing assignments
- Identify data needs and prepare test data to use during execution
- Execute test cases and perform defect testing, capture results with supporting documentation
- Interact with SMEs and Developers to address questions and issues
- Identify and escalate issues or changes to test needs as they arise
- Identify and recommend process improvements as necessary
- 6 years of experience and proficiency in automation and manual testing
- Experience designing and developing automation test frameworks and tools in Java, Python, or C#/C , or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience using Tricentis Tosca for end-to-end test automation
- Experience using Cypress to build and enhance automated test frameworks
- Experience with standard QA tools and practices, such as functional API testing, integration testing, and UI functionality and usability testing, with a passion for automation
- Team-oriented with strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills
- Knowledge of QA methodology and tools
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and overcome hurdles
- Experience integrating testing into a GitLab CI/CD pipeline
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Experience with JIRA and Confluence
- Experience working with IaC
