What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Administrator position at Tang and Company?
The Sales Administrator is instrumental in facilitating the sales process to help drive and manage sales performance and profit objectives.
- Organize data in sales platforms (e.g. Salesforce) to generate deep customer insights to enhance productivity and effectiveness
- Support the sales team with key planning and operations tasks to support the overall objective of the business
- Act as liaison between internal departments and external clients to ensure timely progress in the client/proposal lifecycle, including but not limited to coordinating meetings, reaching out to clients independently, and facilitating required involvement of internal stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze key sales and business performance indicators and trends to drive strategic and tactical business decisions
- Monitor streams of requests for new business and appropriately coordinate into client lifecycle
- Coordinate and ensure accuracy of sales forecasts
- Assist in the development of high-quality and competitive proposals to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships
- Assist sales team in analyzing contractual commitments, customer specifications, and profitability
- Ensure sales process adoption and compliance while identifying opportunities for improvement in the sales process and systems to drive greater sales effectiveness and efficiency
- Ensure that changes to proposals and contracts are properly made on all paperwork and communicated to all necessary parties
- Coordinate, monitor, and manage proposals and contracts throughout the sales process, ensuring all necessary parties are involved
- Manage both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities in salesforce
- Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements and inputs from various sources
- Monitor and assist with streamlining of current systems and processes
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business (preferred)
- 1-2 years prior experience in a similar role.
Qualifications/Requirements (KSAs)
- Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Salesforce, Oracle, etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Use active listening and effective communication in solving problems.
- Possess an analytical mind as well as a strong commercial acumen; determine margins using tools, assess client needs and possess an overall strategic mindset.
- Adaptability to changing technologies and functionality of new equipment and systems.
