Job Summary:

Tango card is looking for a self-starter that is a brilliant problem solver, an excellent communicator, and has a passion for extraordinary design and execution! We are looking for humans who believe that Design is an action and not just an output.

As a Product Designer, you will create an elegant user experience for our suite of Enterprise-grade rewards and incentives products. This role focuses on our B2B products, which will require excellent systems-thinking skills, outstanding visual design ability, and hunger to engage directly with customers/users to be an advocate for their needs while being mindful of our larger mission.

Being a member of the design team, you will work closely with our product team and developers to create human-centered, elegant, intuitive designs and tackle high-impact problems for our customers and implement user research and testing to make data-driven decisions.

Reports To: Senior Director of Product

As Product Designer at Tango Card, you will:

  • Elevate the organization’s design IQ by helping people to think about problems using these product design principles.
  • Drive design from initial concept through to polished deliverable, which includes working closely with product design colleagues to implement human-centered design methodologies.
  • Follow a user-centered design process to produce sketches, workflow diagrams, wireframes, prototypes, design guidelines, and style guides.
  • Specialize in one of our core product areas and work closely with engineers and product managers to define the long-term strategy, short-term tactics, and success metrics for that product.
  • Conduct user research and incorporate findings to fine-tune designs and drive business goals.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product Management, Customer-facing teams, Creative, and Engineering to develop and expand design systems and style guides.

To be effective in our Product Designer role, you must have:

  • 5 years working as a product designer, UX/UI designer, information architect, or similar role
  • Portfolio of work showcasing strong user interaction (UI) design principles, dedication to human-centered design, and polished design work
  • Skilled in User Research in a B2B/Enterprise environment with highly customized/contextualized use cases
  • Previous experience in user experience, visual design, and have the ability to analyze data
  • Skilled in gathering data and feedback via usability studies and user research with customers, users, and stakeholders
  • Synthesize feedback and input from various stakeholders, and have the ability to present decisions to an internal audience and customers
  • Ability to identify design patterns and extend these into a shared library
  • Skilled in Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD or similar applications

Our ideal Product Designer at Tango Card will have most of the following skills and experience:

  • BA/BS degree (or equivalent experience) in a design-related field (e.g. HCI, HCDE, Graphic Design, Informatics, etc.)
  • Google UX Design Certification, Neilson Norman Product Design Certification
  • Knowledge of agile development
  • Skilled in designing for cloud-based enterprise/B2B software
  • Ability to synthesize customer data to build systems, products, and features that meet customer needs
