What are the responsibilities and job description for the Internal Communications Specialist position at Tangoe US,Inc?

Summary: The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for effective, timely, and consumable communications across a broad range of topics to Tangoe employees globally. In this position, you will determine and define the needs, frequency, and communications channel to best reach our employees in the US, India, Europe, China, and Australia.

Responsibilities:
  • Define overall internal communication needs, develop detailed communication plan, and lead execution of the plan.
  • Work with HR, Marketing, and IT to ensure communication messages and vehicles are coordinated and optimized.
  • Enhance the intranet experience and internal employee portal, working with key stakeholder to keep information up to date.
  • Manage communications to the global Tangoe employee community including content management and logistics for our employee portal, internal announcements and updates and the monthly newsletter.
  • Coordinate the logistics for town hall meetings and all-hands events, including working cross-functionally to schedule, set-up webinar or meeting technology, monitor employee participation, and more.
  • Provide communications support to the HR team in the development of communications and execution supporting the annual Benefits Open Enrollment, Performance and Talent Management, Recruiting and Engagement.
  • Assist with development and activation of employee value proposition.
  • Oversee the next generation build out of the company store.
  • Create and maintain an internal communications calendar and posting schedule
  • Strengthen the capabilities of the HR team and improve overall implementation success of people related initiatives through timely and easily understood communications.
  • Align with our Global Marketing team to ensure branding and messaging is consistent across the enterprise.
  • Prepare town hall content in partnership with CEO, arrange logistics, jointly host town hall sessions, and demonstrate discretion in relation to employee questions.
  • Partner with Executive Team members to communicate key initiatives internally including org changes, product launches, system implementations, etc.
Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience managing internal communications for a company with a 2000 global employee population.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint is required.
  • Knowledge of Human Resources, preferred.
  • Tech savvy and internal web portal experience, highly desirable.
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively address all levels within the organization.
  • Self-starter with keen attention to detail and demonstrated the ability to think critically, work calmly, and maintain good judgment in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lead, manage, and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and nimble environment.

Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or other related field.
