Tarr LLC, a locally owned chemical distribution company is seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Worker to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate for this role excels in working in a fast paced environment and is a team player.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
- Operate forklift
- Performs daily operations and safety checks on equipment
- Loading/unloading trucks
- Manage inventory, including product-tracking system
- Assure proper placement of product
- Maintain appropriate forms and records
- General maintenance and housekeeping of warehouse
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Able to read and follow directions of load sheets, product labels and have mathematical aptitude in dealing with units of measure.
- Order pulling experience as well as be detail-oriented, precise and accurate
- Receiving experience verifying and matching products and unit weights from supplier to internal Tarr purchase orders.
- Inspecting product and empty container returns
- Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision and perform multiple tasks to meet deadlines and be adaptable to changing priorities
- Knowledge of inventory control, FIFO, cycle counting and Lot control practices.
- Experience with forklifts and variety of material handling equipment
- Ability to move 50 pounds repeatedly
- Can use an RF scanner gun
Experience, Education and Certifications
- Prior warehouse experience preferred
- General chemical knowledge preferred
- Must possess High School diploma or GED
