Chemical Warehouse

Tarr LLC, a locally owned chemical distribution company is seeking a skilled and motivated Warehouse Worker to be a part of our team. The ideal candidate for this role excels in working in a fast paced environment and is a team player.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

• Operate forklift
• Performs daily operations and safety checks on equipment
• Loading/unloading trucks
• Manage inventory, including product-tracking system
• Assure proper placement of product
• Maintain appropriate forms and records
• General maintenance and housekeeping of warehouse

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Able to read and follow directions of load sheets, product labels and have mathematical aptitude in dealing with units of measure.
• Order pulling experience as well as be detail-oriented, precise and accurate
• Receiving experience verifying and matching products and unit weights from supplier to internal Tarr purchase orders.
• Inspecting product and empty container returns
• Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision and perform multiple tasks to meet deadlines and be adaptable to changing priorities
• Knowledge of inventory control, FIFO, cycle counting and Lot control practices.
• Experience with forklifts and variety of material handling equipment
• Ability to move 50 pounds repeatedly
• Can use an RF scanner gun

Experience, Education and Certifications

• Prior warehouse experience preferred
• General chemical knowledge preferred
• Must possess High School diploma or GED
