Supervision
Reporting to the District Director of Organizational Transformation, the Communications Lead for Organizational Transformation supports development of the communications strategy and execution of messaging and tactics to influence user buy-in and adoption for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. This innovative and creative individual will take initiative to optimize communications for stakeholders across the College including students, customer relationship management, finance, and human capital management. This position will also serve as a liaison with the District Communications team, Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and the Student Recruitment and Outreach team. Post-project, the position will coordinate communications advancement across the College to increase student awareness and engagement for student success and completion.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Performance Requirements*
- Supports development and execution of effective communications strategies for ERP implementation from the blueprint / solution discovery phase through post go-live
- Plans, designs, and writes informative and engaging content and communications materials for internal and external audiences across multiple communication channels to provide knowledge and advance the organizational transformation journey
- Creates communications protocols and initiatives that foster excitement about the ERP project
- Collaborates with project and team leaders throughout the College to coordinate development and delivery of consistent, strategic messaging in alignment with the overall College strategy
- Builds and helps deliver upon an ERP communications calendar aligned with project priorities
- Assists in the development of executive-level briefing materials
- Works with internal communications, marketing, and graphics teams to generate and follow through on innovative ideas and strategies for web communications channels and in-person events
- Engages with project and team leads across the College to be knowledgeable about the ERP implementation and details of change impacts end users will experience
- Participates in the planning, design, and configuration of the ERP communication tools to gain expertise, maximize the functionality upon go-live, and prepare for support of student communications strategy
- Responds to communication-related issues in a timely manner
- Establishes and tracks metrics that show the impact of ERP project communications to guide continual improvement of content, systems, and vehicles for quality, consistency, and timeliness
- Undertakes other duties as assigned to support project communications
Service Excellence
- Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the essential performance requirements
- Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of the worksite
- Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)

Supervision
Works under the general supervision of the District Director of Organizational Transformation during the ERP Project. Final reporting structure will be determined after project completion.

Required Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Five (5) years of professional-level experience in communications, project management, public relations, or communication for a range of media
- Master’s degree
- Certification in CMP, SCMP, or other relevant areas
- Experience supervising (e.g., managing, evaluating the performance of others; leading projects or processes)
- Experience with a content management system
- Bilingual in reading, writing, and speaking
- Skilled with executive-level assignments, presentations, events, or programs
- Skilled as a writer, proofreader, and copy editor
- Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonal relationships with diverse populations, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication
- Skilled with problem-solving, decision making, root-cause identification, and organizing with the ability to prioritize a heavy workload under pressure and competing assignments
- Skilled in group facilitation and presentation
- Skilled in leadership, influencing, and relationship-building across functions to achieve a common vision or goal
- Skilled in addressing problems, defining relevant issues, drawing sound conclusions, and making responsible recommendations
- Ability to tenaciously organize/prioritize work, manage multiple tasks and projects, and function effectively as a self-directed leader of multiple initiatives in ambiguous situations
- Ability to work independently and meet critical deadlines
