Position Title: Dishwasher
Job Summary
The dishwasher is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and other kitchen equipment. This role ensures a sanitary and efficient kitchen environment, supporting the overall operations of the restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Dishwashing: Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashers or by hand as necessary.
- Sorting and Stacking: Sort and stack cleaned dishes and utensils in designated storage areas.
- Kitchen Equipment Maintenance:Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, such as dishwashers, sinks, and garbage disposals.
- Trash Removal: Empty trash bins regularly and ensure proper disposal of waste.
- Stocking Supplies: Assist in stocking and replenishing kitchen supplies, including
dish soap, cleaning agents, and other necessary items.
- Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and efficient flow of dishware during busy periods.
- Adherence to Health and Safety Standards: Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper handling of chemicals, to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Organization and Cleanliness: Keep work areas clean and organized, including washing and sanitizing work surfaces.
Qualifications:
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
- Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with kitchen staff to meet operational needs.
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in cleaning and ensuring that all dishes and utensils meet hygiene standards.

Education and Experience:
No formal education is required. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial but not mandatory.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
