What Were Looking For
Taylor CPA & Associates, PC is searching for a talented individual to add to our Audit Department as Audit Lead. We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Information Systems, or in a business-related field is required.
- 4-6 years of audit experience in a public accounting firm or public company required.
- Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgement, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work-well with team-members and to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Certifications including CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, and/or CRM are preferred
What Youll Be Doing
- Executing assigned client engagements from start to finish, which includes planning, execution, and reporting.
- Conduct walk-throughs to gain a comprehensive understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives.
- Develop audit program and testing procedures based on project objectives and risk assessment.
- Execute testing procedures and oversee/review testing procedures executed by staff.
- Work with client to navigate and resolve any issues encountered during audit process.
- Work with client to confirm and root-cause any exceptions/deficiencies discovered during the audit process and contribute to the development of recommendations for improvements.
- Draft reporting summarizing audit procedures, results, and recommendations.
- Lead client meetings and maintain good working relationships with client personnel, at all levels.
- Assist with client proposals and business development.
- Assist with on-going audit staff recruiting efforts as needed. Attend professional development and training sessions on a regular basis.
