The Full Stack Developer designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs new and existing Java software systems and applications. Serves as the technical expert on development projects. Participates in the full development life cycle, including requirements analysis and design. Writes technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements. As a part of a small team, you must be proactive, willing to "wear multiple hats" and enthusiastically take on tasks big and small.
US Citizenship is required for this role. In addition, the selected applicant must submit to a government background investigation and be favorably adjudicated before their first day.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Working under minimal supervision, designs, develops, and re-engineers highly complex application components and integrates software packages, programs, and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms
- Supports, maintains, and documents software functionality
- Analyzes code to find causes of errors and revises programs as needed
- Facilitates software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements
- Consults with the end-users to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needs
- Keep up-to-date with best practices and skills
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience that includes:
- At least 3 years of relevant application development experience, focused on Javascript languages and technologies;
- At least 1 year of experience as a Full Stack Developer or technical lead
- At least 3 years of experience with automated testing tools, such as JUnit, Pa11y, SonarQube, and Selenium
- At least 3 years experience with DevSecOps automation tools, preferably GitHub
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and Power BI
- The ability to prioritize and organize efforts in a fast-paced environment
- The ability to develop and enhance processes and navigate coordination with multiple teams
- Experience leading a technical team and contribute quickly to the project
- Independent problem-solving skills, strong analytical abilities, creativity, and a customer service-oriented personality
- Experience with Agile development methodologies applied to bug fixing, software issue management, implementing minor enhancements, and patching and upgrades
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- AWS cloud experience
- Terraform/OpenTofu experience
- Knowledge of government IT requirements and standard operating procedures
- Experience in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile ceremonies and practices
- Experience using Jira for issue/ticket management
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science preferred. Four additional years of experience in a related field are acceptable instead of a degree.
