The CSP Administrator offers employment skills training opportunities to Soldiers or occasionally other service members preparing to transition from military to civilian employment through providing program planning, administrative/logistical support, and reporting within their area of responsibility in direct support of the Army’s Career Skills Program (CSP). CSPAs coordinate with garrison-approved CSP employers, professional associations, unions, industry leaders, education and training providers to promote opportunities for transitioning Soldiers to yield high-value jobs or careers; from

Initial concept to establishment of a partnership and execution, with minimal or no cost to the government.  Duties include:  

  • Serve as the Garrison SFL-TAP point of contact for Army Career Skills Programs, performing a variety of administrative, logistical, and program planning duties in direct support of the program for the DGR and in coordination with the Region CSP Coordinator.
  • Schedule Career Skills Program and related classes.
  • Maintain liaisons in coordination with the installation POCs and Region CSP Coordinator.
  • Identify opportunities for transitioning Soldiers leading to a highly-skilled, high demand job or career in the civilian sector and present options to the government for connection with industry.
  • Coordinate with employers, professional associations, unions, industry leaders, and education providers as directed by the DGR to encourage training that will produce high-value jobs or careers for transitioning military; from initial concept of establishment to government partnership.
  • Execute the garrison day-to-day operations of the CSP classes/cohorts ensuring tracking of applicants, setting up interviews for industry partners, scheduling information/marketing sessions in coordination with government personnel, tracking participants, communicating completion, entering data and counseling notes in the TAPXXI system as well entering program information on the IMCOM’s Common Operating Picture and other career skills databases.
  • Provide summaries, executive reports and data analysis and tracking as required. Formalize relationships and establish roles and responsibilities. Draft Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) subject to legal in coordination with DGR to include coordinating activities and compliance.
  • Research and monitor CSP training opportunities in the community in coordination with DGR.
  • Participate in the applicant screening process (as a silent observer); monitor execution, and follow-up on job placement data; make telephone calls, send email and track correspondence.
  • Keep installation key government personnel, public officials, employers and stakeholders abreast of policies, procedures, trends, and problems.
  • Collect, consolidate, and analyze data; provide reports to the DGR.
  • Prepare and/or conduct briefings, orientations, and special presentations to include flyers, marketing materials, news articles, and social media with the approval of the DGR to promote the CSPs.
  • Prepare reports, maintain historical records and statistical materials to include writing CSP vetting packets and documentation, information papers, executive summaries in accordance with ARIMS.
  • Recommend solutions to concerns and or problems such as Soldier attendance at program activities (e.g., classes and counseling sessions) to the DGR.
  • Plan and execute daily operations to meet overall objectives and requirements.
  • Assist DGR as needed in conducting Career Skills Program operations, conducting interest inventories and identifying subsequent opportunities to provide skills training and employment to transitioning military in coordination with the Regional Career Skills Program Coordinator.
  • Provide weekly updates to the CSP Authoritative Database that populates the IMCOM CSP Common Operating Picture (COP) in coordination with the Career Skills Program Region Coordinators by the last working day of each week
