Job Summary
Processes requests for quantity takeoffs from project detailed drawings. Reviews specifications for understanding and makes interpretations of information in the specifications to avoid ambiguities. Works closely with the Estimators to support the cost estimation process.

Essential Duties
- Conducts quantity takeoffs and reviews project plans/specifications to gain a complete understanding of the project's scope.
- Generates takeoff reports for estimators, and verifies their accuracy.
- Monitors all addenda, scope changes and breakouts to ensure they are processed and incorporated into the estimate in a timely manner.
- Communicates with internal customers concerning issues with project specifications, project scope, reports, value engineering possibilities, timelines or other items pertaining to a bid.
- Verifies the specifications summary and enters specifications summary data into takeoff software.
- Identifies any missing pricing of labor, scope and material.
- Communicates with vendors and suppliers regarding missing pricings required to complete bids.
Minimum Requirements
High School or GED is required.Associate’s Degree or two-year technicial training in Construction, Engineering or related field is preferred.
0-2 years of experience.
Must have understanding of commercial building and trade specific codes and regulatory requirements.Must be able to interpret blueprints, schematics, isometrics and specifications.Must be proficient at Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.Excellent organizational and communication skills.Attention to detail.Ability to multitask and time management skills.
