Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The primary function of this role is to receive product. This position receives shipments and places product into an inventory location.
Essential Job Functions:
- Load and unload trucks as necessary
- Verify incoming product counts and receive into system
- Put product away in assigned locations with proper skid tags attached
- Maintain a standard of efficiency and productivity
- Assist in implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Assure that all safety procedures and policies are followed
Qualifications
Skills and Educational Requirements:
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklift, reach truck and order picker
- Basic computer knowledge
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of warehousing
- Strong interpersonal skills
- ERP system experience preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to multitask
- Ability to work under deadline pressure
- Able to work independently
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and walk unassisted
- Frequently move, bend, twist, reach, squat and kneel
- Frequently lift up to 40 pounds
- Occasionally lift up to 75 pounds
