Job Description
Work assignment involves applying comprehensive technical knowledge to solve complex problems by interpreting manufacturers' manuals or similar documents. Typical duties include: laying out, fabricating, and assembling electronic components following predetermined methods and criteria; adjusting, repairing, and modifying systems, working from blueprints, sketches, drawings, and diagrams; repairing and/or replacing malfunctioning units as directed; setting up and operating standard electronic testing equipment; using hand power tools and hand tools and simple machine power tools to fabricate electronic components; and performing related job duties as required. This position requires a familiarity with the interrelationships of circuits and judgment in planning work sequence and in selecting tools and testing instruments. This position may also provide technical guidance and training to lower level technicians.
The duties and requirements of this position include but are not limited to:
- Move, transport, load and unload pods, both as a load crew member and team leader
- Perform periodic, preventive, and corrective AS/Pod maintenance
- Perform system installation, preparation for use and reshipment
- Identify and report corrections/improvements to technical data
- Prepare and deliver all reports and required documentation
- Participate in all implemented cross training programs
- Responsible for all configuration management issues
- Compliance with JT4 and BSEn Quality Control and Safety Programs
Minimum Education/Experience Requirements
- Requires a high school diploma, plus successful completion of an accredited Technical Apprentice Program in Electronics or equivalent military training, with a minimum of six (6) years’ experience at the journeyman level.
- An Associate Degree in Electronics and experience at the Craftsman level highly desirable.
- Must satisfactorily complete all related position specific technical training as provided by our Technical Services Division
- This job requires the physical capability to lift, maneuver, and carry ACTS pods in a variety of environments, including shop, warehouse, bay, and flight-line
- Applicants must be able to demonstrate basic and some advanced technical knowledge of electrical and electronic principles and devices, interpret circuit diagrams to solve routine problems by interpreting manufacturers’ manuals or similar documents, as well as demonstrate knowledge in the use of test instruments such as Oscilloscopes, signal generators, voltage and frequency meters, and computer control equipment and analyzers.
- Rotating Shift work will be a requirement

- US Citizen // Secret Clearance or ability to obtain is required
- Applicants must have a valid state driver’s license
- Must meet all requirements for a flight-line driving permit
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
