Segment, Business Unit or Corporate Group
This position will be part of TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

As a New Grad (Full Time) hire in the Global Operations Business Unit, you will:
Utilize project management skills to achieve operational business targets through implementation of continuous improvement methodologies.
Plan and champion the implementation of Lean principles and activities.
Become a subject matter expert in all areas of the distribution center then propose improvement projects.
Follow all company occupational health and safety regulations.
Participate in or lead workshops to improve quality, safety, and productivity.
Collaborate and interface with all areas/departments at the site and across all of GLOG. Support management in the successful implementation of the GLOG strategy
Monitor existing KPI’s and introduce new KPIs that will improve DC performance utilizing Lean Tools/Methodologies (eg. Six Sigma)
Identify productivity opportunities then lead projects to achieve savings.
Cross train and be ready to manage all areas of the DC if needed.
SAP – highly trained in all areas of the DC. Will be troubleshooting current an past transactions.
May be responsible for training new processes for project implementations.
Attend global meetings (Note: We are a global organization, and some meetings are held after hours and on weekends.)
You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you:
Are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Business discipline and/or have equivalent work experience
Have at least 2-5 years of supply chain experience in operations with Plant/Operations or Logistics Management, preferably in a manufacturing organization with a proven track record of working on productive teams.
Possess knowledge of MRP systems/processes (SAP preferable), MS office
Can establish relationships through all levels/departments of the organization.
Are authorized to work in the U.S.
Competencies
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $$49,280 – 73,920 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
