The Keokuk Community School District is seeking a proven instructional leader for Keokuk Middle School in the 2023-24 school year. Applicants should possess proven instructional leadership skills and have knowledge of current high impact instructional strategies for middle level education (Ex.'s Literacy across the content areas, Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), Professional Learning Communities, Common Formative Assessment, Gradual Release of Responsibility, Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), Restorative Practices, etc.). Furthermore, applicants should be knowledgeable in the use of data to make decisions, be able to communicate well both verbally and in writing with staff, students and the community, as well as, possessing a clear focus on continuous improvement. Other desired attributes include: strong organizational skills, ability to work collaboratively, a commitment to high expectations for staff and students, and a strong understanding of site based leadership regarding our district programs (Ex.'s Talented and Gifted, Special Education, 504, ELL, etc.).
