Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive incoming materials and equipment, verifying quantities against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Organize and stage materials in designated storage areas for easy access by project teams.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track material usage throughout the project duration.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to schedule material deliveries and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Track material shipments and update project teams on delivery schedules and potential delays.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and minimize material losses.
- Prepare material kits and packages according to project requirements, ensuring all necessary components are included.
- Assist project teams with material selection, procurement, and substitution as needed.
- Monitor material consumption rates and adjust inventory levels accordingly to minimize waste and excess inventory.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Implement and maintain organizational systems and processes to optimize material management efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures related to material handling and storage.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines and objectives.
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in material management, logistics, or inventory control, preferably in the telecommunications or construction industry.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in handling and tracking materials.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and tools to track and manage materials.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with project teams, suppliers, and vendors.
- Forklift experience and certification required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including outdoor and warehouse settings.
Pay Rate:
$25.00 - $35.00/hour
