Team Rubicon (TR) is seeking a Specialist, Field Technology I. The Specialist, Field Technology I will build and maintain the daily operational infrastructure of our field technology. This will require the ability to work on cloud systems as well as standard computing hardware and software. The Specialist, Field Technology I will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day Tech support, maintenance and troubleshooting of deployed field operation applications and hardware. This person will also scout, evaluate, and implement technology solutions for field operations and the whole organization.
Every day will be a challenge, but every month brings new opportunities for an organization that is quickly becoming a household name in disaster response. This position reports to the Manager, Technology Operations and is based in our National Operations Center in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor technology support requests and provide support to staff and volunteers
- Perform root cause analyses to continuously improve user experience and strengthen business applications
- Contribute to the maintenance, configuration, administration, and documentation of TR’s technology infrastructure, to include computers and networks, standard applications, SaaS systems, telecommunications, A/V, and LMR communications
- Assist in the development, review, and enforcement of company best practices, standards, and guidelines
- Data entry and maintenance of technology assets in Team Rubicon's inventory system
- Proactive monitoring and reporting of potential threats, vulnerabilities and other risks to company assets, systems, and infrastructure
- Contribute to front line contingency planning and threat management
- Support security assessments and audits, penetration testing, and threat management, while identifying/mitigating security risks in implementation and business processes
Experience and Background:
- B.S. or B.A. degree or equivalent experience
- Up to 1 year of field technology support experience or relevant experience
- Experience with Windows 7/8.x/10 Server 2008 R2/2012 macOS
- Ability to install, support, and troubleshoot PC and Apple hardware and software
- Familiarity with administration of systems and applications, including but not limited to Windows, Microsoft Dynamics, Cornerstone On-Demand, Adobe, Apple iOS, Android OS, Mobile Device Management, Motorola LMR radios, Cisco Meraki devices, video conferencing software
- Preferred: Applicable certifications from Microsoft (MSSA/MCP/MCSE/MCDST/etc.), CompTIA (A /Network /Security /etc.), and Cisco (CCT/CCNA/CCNP/etc.)
Special Requirements:
- This is full time; in-office and the position can be based out of the following locations: Grand Prairie, TX and provides a flexible & non-traditional work schedule (relocation expenses not provided)
- Evening and weekend schedule supporting operations and tech team
- Travel: 25 - 30% travel to support broader organizational activities
