What are the responsibilities and job description for the Producer position at Team Whistle?

You must be comfortable shooting and being on camera as well as having a strong understanding of general set and lighting techniques. You should be passionate about digital content and understand Snapchat and YouTube best practices, as well as social media in general. We’re looking for collaborators and innovators. Creativity is a must. The ability to move fast and be able to pivot with tight deadlines is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Producing and executing on episodes for our TEAM WHISTLE content slate
- Creating schedules, equipment lists, and production plans
- Managing productions and production staff during shooting
- Ability to operate cameras, sound equipment, and direct talent
- Help across department team teams to develop concepts, show ideas & pitches.
- Writing treatments, scripts, shotlists, storyboards & visual approaches.
- Assist the other team members by giving feedback on projects
- Cost tracking and budgeting for shoots
- Sports and Entertainment passion is a must with an eye for the Zeitgeist and internet culture
- Providing production and logistical support during studio and field production
- Pitching and developing new show formats
- Producing and executing social media posts and merch promotional assets
- Staying organized and ability to edit.
- Building and executing pre-production standards for production team as a whole
- Develop effective relationships with all departments and crews to ensure daily communication, troubleshoot issues, and potential delays
- Attend all series related meetings to ensure that the schedule is moving forward and/or specific issues are addressed and/or escalated
- Run production meetings to ensure clear communication, dissemination of information, acknowledge accomplishments and discuss challenges
- Track budgets on each production
Requirements:
- 3 years relevant production experience
- Experience with semi-professional grade equipment, basic sound equipment, Adobe Premiere, running a set.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Please include examples of content you’ve created (produced, filmed, edited).
- Sports & general pop culture knowledge a huge plus.
- General knowledge of social platforms, especially YouTube and Snapchat.
- Credits in digital/doc/reality programming. Please note, we are considering candidates with a variety of experience for a host of different projects. We encourage people with a range of one year of experience all the way up the ladder to apply.
- Candidates should also be well versed in producing.This means following the story, asking the right questions and facilitating the scene-work we need to tell an engaging narrative.
