What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Engineer position at TeamBuildr LLC?
TeamBuildr is looking to hire a talented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing Engineering team. This position will be responsible for working with our Software Engineering teams to ensure we are deploying well-tested, high quality code to our products. The QA team is involved in all stages of the development lifecycle at TeamBuildr.As a growing department, the person in this role will have a large say in the tools the team uses, as well as the processes it uses to test and validate features. The QA department at TeamBuildr has a direct impact on the quality of products that we ship to thousands of coaches and athletes all over the globe.

With over 30 employees, we are continuing to expand our presence in the strength and conditioning market.Our platform serves strength and conditioning professionals from high school to the NFL and personal trainers around the world. Our platform makes these professionals more efficient and more analytical by allowing them to collect more data and unlock key insights.In early 2023, TeamBuildr expanded it’s product offering with a new product - GymStudio - a software platform for gym and studio management. Our team continues to grow as we have launched GymStudio and work to expand it’s presence in the market.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with engineers on the team to develop data factories, seed data, and other tooling to assist with feature development and consistency of test data across the team
- Work with engineers throughout feature development to update and maintain seed data
- Work closely with managers and stakeholders to define testing scenarios for any given feature based on project requirements
- Plan and implement end-to-end and integration level automated tests for new features
- Audit current testing methods and approaches
- Coordinate and plan improvements to said methods
- Perform manual / exploratory testing on new features before they are released
- Work closely with engineers on the team to establish an efficient feedback loop
- Perform manual testing on bug fixes and hot fixes as needed from the engineering team
- Collaborate with other QA Engineers, Software Engineers, and managers to document and improve our process and strategy around manual testing
- Test features in our staging environments to vet for production launches
