We are seeking qualified candidates with strong call center and customer service backgrounds to join our expanding Customer Eligibility Team (Emdeon)!  The Consumer Accounts Specialist is responsible for providing our licensed agents with Medicaid and Medicare plans, consumer qualifications and other requested information in order to help the agent create the perfect package for their customer. 

The Consumer Accounts Specialist must be flexible, a quick learner with strong phone communication skills, able to multi-task, and offer exceptional customer service.  We are looking for individuals who possess professionalism and able to efficiently connect with others to reach a set goal.  Consumer Accounts Specialist must be detailed oriented and capable of meeting goals while maintaining full compliance of GoHealth policies and Federal and State regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate licensed agents professionally through a chat platform, Zendesk
  • Utilize various designated applications to provide consumer information to licensed agents, such as Emdeon Ordering Systems, Marx, and Excel spreadsheets
  • Provide HIPAA related information, Medicaid/Medicare eligibility and levels, and subsidies of consumers to licensed agents
  • Verify data of major carriers (i.e. Humana)
  • Must be able to provide information to the licensed agents in a timely manner
  • Remain professional, polite, and composed throughout all interactions.
  • Escalate situations to supervisors when necessary

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of sales, customer service, or retail experience
  • High-school degree required. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred, but not required
  • Previous call center / telemarketing experience preferred, but not required.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Outstanding customer service skills and a “can-do” attitude
  • A basic understanding of individual and team performance metrics and goals
  • Self-motivated, driven by performance goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, exciting, and performance-driven environment
