What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Registrar (onsite) position at TeamPeople?

Primary Function

This position provides valuable operational support with a focus on registration and graduation activities along with other projects that ensure the accuracy of students’ information. Reporting to the Senior Director, the position assists with registration processes, assists with managing the processing of waitlist requests via the School’s online system, supports special events when necessary, and assists with ad hoc projects as needed. This person will also collaborate with colleagues on course scheduling projects, managing proctoring requests, and related projects. The position also serves as a point of contact to help analyze and resolve problems and direct questions to appropriate team staff.

The position requires a high attention to detail and comfort with updating electronic records within an information system as well as comfort working in Excel. Many processes will require this position to review completed web-based forms for accuracy, ensure the validity of requests, and then modify student registration or related records in a student information system. Ad hoc projects will also require a high attention to detail and ability to work independently following instructions.

This will be an eight-month, in-person position, with the possibility of flexibility after a training period.

Pay range: $28-$32/hour

Start Date: 10/21/24

End Date: 6/20/25

ONSITE (Boston)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides front line assistance for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Hires, trains, and supervises work study students.
  • Oversees student records management (UIS/SIS Drop/Add Processing etc.) and academic status management (Dean's List, probation, CGS Program completion review etc.).
  • Provides administrative support for college events and programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, prioritize, multi-task, troubleshoot, remain level-headed, handle confidential information appropriately, and communicate effectively with Leadership Team, faculty, staff, students, and internal/external constituents.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required. 1-3 years of administrative experience.
  • MS Office proficiency required and prior experience with university class scheduling is preferred.
