Accounting Operations Associate

We are growing and have an opening for an Accounting Operations Associate.

In this role, you are responsible for assisting and supporting the day-to-day accounting operations of ACH, Share Drafts, Mobile Deposits, Wire Transfers, and other areas as needed.

The functions of this role include, but not limited to:

• Prepare and process daily ACH reports and Share Draft reports, including return files
• Assist in auditing closed accounts, monthly closed account reporting
• Assist in auditing new accounts
• Assist in auditing death claims
• Assist in Shared Branch balancing, researching, and resolving Shared Branch issues
• Process and report NSF accounts
• IRA processing and audit
• Review Mobile Deposits
• Post CDs and interest checks
• Approve and create wire transfers
• Provide exceptional Member Service
• Complete additional projects ask requested

To be considered for this position, you will have:

• At least one year of experience in a financial institution, experience in processing ACH and Share Draft files
• Proficiency in MS Office
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizations skills, proven problem-solving ability, ability to work without supervision
• Ability to work extended weekday hours and Saturdays as requested
• Proven ability to work as a team member and successfully interact with multiple departments
• Works well with a team.

Desired qualifications:

• An Associate’s Degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
• Familiarity with GAAP as it pertains to financial institutions
