Job Description
We are looking to add a self-motivated, highly-experienced MySQL Database Administrator. The DBA team member is responsible for tasks for the development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, capacity management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management, migration activities and ongoing database change reviews. The team is also responsible for SQL server AWS to Google cloud migration.
To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter and must have the following
Roles and Responsibilities:

Managing SQL Server AWS to Google Cloud migration
-
Managing large scale MySQL databases
-
Managing high transactional MySQL databases servicing OLTP and DSS applications

Will be working with a direct hardcore technical manager from the client, no additional layers will be there

Performing MySQL Major Version Upgrades and Minor Version Upgrades
-
Experience in MS SQL-MYSQL Migration is Plus

Managing 24x7 Databases Availability

Solid understanding of MySQL internal architecture, demonstrated experience with MySQL database design, implementation, performance tuning, and capacity planning.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Experience with enterprise backup and recovery strategies
-
Experience in database software management (patch and version management)
- Good scripting ability and good working knowledge of Shell Scripts, Perl or Python
Requirements

A minimum of 5 years experience as a SQL DBA

1 years of Cloud exp

MS Azure cloud DB skills required

DB Clean up skills
-
Pricing and Plan knowledge - who can suggest plans accordingly

GCP cloud DB skills are good to have

Migration experience nice to have
- Excellent Comms skill
