What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audio Video Technician position at Techifi?
Techifi is looking for an Audio Video Technician to join our team. You will be responsible for installing low-voltage systems in residential and commercial projects under the direction of the Project Manager. Tasks may include installing wires in wall in new or retrofit projects, proper termination of cabling, and installing equipment and testing for proper operation. You will also assist in diagnosis/QC and repair of their own or other's installations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full understanding of the pre-wire, trim and final phases of a project, including proper use of all associated tools.
- Able to read and understand device layout drawings, engineered schematics, and construction blueprints as they pertain to the A/V industry.
- Advanced understanding of Ethernet network system setup, including modems, routers, wireless controllers and access points.
- Able to terminate data jacks, speakers, control cables, signal cables, and fiber.
- Knowledge and understanding of wire differentiation, connectors, connections, splicing and head-end termination.
- Practice exceptional wire management and dressing skills. (Racks interconnects and wire runs in construction)
- Able to mount video displays and projectors, to install, set-up, calibrate and troubleshoot multiroom audio systems.
EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Class A or B Limited Energy license
- Manufacturer/Industry training preferred
- Experience in Custom Residential/Commercial AV highly preferred
- A valid driver license and clean DMV record
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
