This position will work closely with the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) channel and will primarily be responsible for channel programs, packaging updates, point of purchase displays, promotions and marketing materials. The position will work closely with the team to help manage and execute focused campaigns to expand commercial channel sales utilizing a multi-tired approach. Individual will be responsible for compiling market data, reporting programs, driving success and other duties as needed.

 

Essential Duties

  • Actively support the company’s culture and business mission by always putting TCP’s people and its customers first.
  • Coordinate marketing programs and promotions designed to maximize margins while maintaining share performance within the C&I segment. Monitor and report on pricing trends.
  • Consolidate all C&I product and marketing support efforts, and ensure strong integration and collaboration of product, promotional and pricing strategies.
  • Develop metrics to monitor TCP performance within the segment. Ensure cross functional cooperation.
  • Work collaboratively with product management and sales on developing strategies to penetrate target markets and target accounts. Identify any product opportunities from within the existing product portfolio, and develop and lead new product development actions where needed. Ensure maximum TCP product exposure on customer’s shelves and develop competitive pricing plans to continue to capture additional market share.
  • Work with Product Management to incorporate industry labeling requirements across all product lines and business channels and create and distribute reports as needed.
  • Work with the sales team to develop and execute on strategies to expand customer base.
  • Establish metrics and monitor progress of marketing promotion activities. Participate in industry affiliations, trade events and other segment activities and increase TCP brand awareness within the segment.
  • Leverage relationships with sales teams to understand the pros/cons and advantages/disadvantages to promotional tactics and strategies.
  • Ensure the TCP brand is represented in a consistent and meets the overall goals of the organization.
  • Actively promotes and personally observes safety and security procedures, and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Other responsibilities or projects assigned by manager.

Qualifications


  • 2 - 5 years experience working in marketing, advertising, marketing communications, sales, or related area.
  • Possess strong communication skills with excellent grammar.
  • Should be creative, resourceful and use self-initiative.
  • Expertise in digital media and CRM tools is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Lighting industry experience preferred.
  • The candidate should also demonstrate excellent communication skills as well as the ability to work as a member of a team and to perform effectively and efficiently under pressure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to focus and prioritize in a fast-paced environment are essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure.
  • Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance

Education/Training

  • Bachelors Degree in marketing, management or communications disciplines; an MBA is a plus

 

Physical/Environmental

  • Sitting for periods of time, completing tasks using a computer and other office equipment.
  • Position requires frequent talking, hearing, and vision with occasional standing, walking and reaching.
  • May require lifting up to 10 lbs.
  • Job position responsibilities are generally performed in a business office environment with computers, printers and phones.
  • Travel as required.
