Job Summary/Objectives


The Quality Inspector as a member of the Quality Team performs inspections of incoming supplier components as well as products manufactured at the company with the purpose of ensuring the company achieves customer specifications.  The Quality Inspector also works with other employees and customer representatives to resolve external and internal quality concerns and inquiries.


What Your Weeks Will Look Like:


You will:

  • Perform visual inspections of components, sub-assemblies and final product per work instructions and customer specifications
  • Perform dimensional and testing evaluations of components, sub-assemblies and final product per work instructions and customer specifications
  • Create and maintain proper records of inspections, including written records, photographs, entries into the ERP system, QCMR reports, etc.


Other Aspects of the Position:

  • Support customer representatives by providing assistance to Source & Pre-Cap Inspectors 
  • Perform internal testing such as leak tests
  • Participate in improvement projects
  • Perform x-rays at outside locations
  • Organize work and storage areas for efficient workflow
  • Support the company though participation in continuous improvement efforts


The Skills You Need to be Successful:

  • Competency in visual inspection utilizing work instructions and workmanship criteria
  • Ability to use of basic hand tools such as pin gages, micrometers, and calipers
  • Proficiency using measurement tools such as dial indicators and the Accugage
  • Ability to read and understand complex drawings, instructions and specifications
  • Familiar with ISO9001 or similar Quality Systems
  • Basic mathematics skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Good decision making abilities
  • Experience working with Military documentation
  • Strong team contributor in a dynamic work flow environment with good time management skills



Requirements

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

  • US Citizenship
  • High School diploma
  • Three years minimum of general inspection work
  • Inspection Certification to IPC-610
