Quality Systems Intern 2024 

Position Purpose: 

§  Partner with Global Quality Technologies, Quality Reporting, and Regional QMS Compliance Team Members to support the delivery of Quality applications/systems (i.e. GBPMS, Intelex, OpenText, etc.) and compliance services to the business, this includes engagement with GBU/REMS to obtain voice of the customer and support compliance business operations.

§  Support a culture of simplification, waste & defect elimination, and continuous improvement.

§  Support in the continual development and improvement of Quality internal applications/systems, processes, tools, reporting, and governance.

Job Description:

§  Support the North America QMS Compliance Team with Internal Audit Process planning, execution, and follow-up

§  Partner with the Global QMS Compliance Program Manager to conduct analysis on trending compliance data, identify prevention opportunities, and activate the help chain when appropriate.

§  Support Management Routines processes and tools to enable lean leadership thinking, behaviors, methodologies, and tools

§  Partner with Global Quality Technologies team to manage daily operational activities such as system/application content updates

§  Conduct Gemba walks to understand and communicate end-user experience

§  Provide project management, analytical, and research skills and expertise

§  Drive simplification throughout the department by supporting the development of operational procedures and standard work

§  Through the implementation of improvement projects, support behavioral change across the organization

§  Report on achievement of goals and objectives and identify any actions required

You are meant for this job if:
  • Junior or Senior classification in a postsecondary education. Seeking a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality, or a related field preferred.

Work Environment:  Spend 50% of the time in an office temperature-controlled environment, and 50% of the time in a shop area.  
Physical Demands: Frequent sitting and operating PC. Frequent bending and stooping at file cabinets.  Some exposure to shop environment including noise, temperature changes, dynamic-active work environment, heavy equipment/machinery, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.  Must be able to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
