Responsible for the receiving of incoming materials, the daily put away of materials received, merchandise, and supplies, between intercompany shipping docks in all warehouses, manufacturing or processing areas. Load and unload trucks. Weigh, count and mark materials as directed. Ensure that incoming material is checked as it is being received with the BOL and ensure if the shipment is short it is signed for as short and reported to the appropriate personnel to include the supervisor for next steps. Additionally, ensuring material is scanned to correct locations and recorded in Plex correctly. Will assist in the pulling of raw material for internal and external needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Attendance is an essential function of the role.
- Receive in material internal and external and physically put into inventory location using a lift truck daily.
- Examine contents and compare records such as manifests, invoices, or orders to verify accuracy of incoming shipments.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
- Required to pick up carpet tags from machines in production.
- Pull raw material for production needs ensuring they are delivered with time sensitivity not to hinder production.
- Confer and correspond with other departments to rectify problems such as damage, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
- Stack cartons on skids, stretch wrap skids, and identify contents.
- Use scan gun to scan in/out product from inventory.
- Unload material from trucks.
- Deliver UPS and other parcels internally.
- Enter the appropriate inventory transaction into ERP system.
- Stage raw material.
- Support cycle counting process and variance explanation and resolution.
- Participate in month end and year end physical inventory.
- Work to accomplish company inventory accuracy goals.
- Keep warehouse organized, clean, and in good condition per 5S initiatives.
- Follow safety rules such as proper lifting techniques and use equipment safely.
- Licensed in forklift driving (sit down, stand up, scissors lift, aisle master).
- Clean up as needed and at the end of the shift.
- Must be available to be on an on-call basis on weekends.
- Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to work independently with little supervision as well as part of a team.
- Serve on special project teams (Kaizen, 5S etc.).
- Training new employees on proper procedures and techniques as needed.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES):
- High school diploma or GED required.
- One year of related experience required.
- Several years of previous warehouse experience with Tier 1 auto supplier preferred.
- Must have a good understanding of warehouse safety regulations, physical dexterity, and experience operating forklifts.
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of various data entry and inventory software programs.
- Ability to drive a forklift required.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to lift, bend, twist, stoop, push, pull, reach, climb, crawl, and carry.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions.
