Digital Merchandiser

Tecovas is the first direct-to-consumer western brand, founded with the simple goal of making the world’s best western boots, apparel and leather goods - and selling them at a fair price. We are a brand revolutionizing a category and welcoming first-time boot buyers and western enthusiasts alike. 

Tecovas is looking for a Digital Merchandiser to optimize digital merchandising assortments to drive customer engagement and conversion. Reporting directly to the Senior Ecommerce Manager, you will be responsible for understanding the best ways to bring value to our customers by providing the right product at the right time in the consumer journey. Specifically, you will be building and merchandising digital content, ensuring the content is presented with quality and accuracy, and verifying that the merchandised product aligns with our overall business goals.

This position is based out of Austin, TX but will have the ability to work from home and in-office.

What you’ll do:

• Manage new product uploads, category builds, product detail maintenance, and promotional activities
• Work with cross-functional partners for website optimizations such as product recommendations, upselling/cross-selling opportunities, and search improvements
• Report on e-commerce trade performance including KPSs, providing data-driven insights, and conducting deep dives where needed to better understand shopper behaviors and trends
• Maximize sales, availability and profitability by developing and managing digital merchandising strategy 
• Identify and leverage category business opportunities based on industry and product trends, competitive research and consumer demand to ensure competitive advantage in the ecommerce market
• Collaborate with planning team to financially plan sales, inventory and turn, to create forecasts and re-forecast sales to meet department financial goals
• Evaluate and execute keywords for individual items and category redirects in an effort to drive targeted web traffic

Experience we’re looking for:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
• 3 years experience as a digital merchandiser working with Shopify or similar e-commerce platform
• An understanding of ecommerce UX, content and development projects, and intuitive knowledge of how users interact and shop in a digital environment
• Experience in using & managing e-commerce platforms (preferably Shopify Plus or similar)
• Familiarity with Google Webmaster Tools & Google Analytics
• Working knowledge of HTML/CSS
• Prior experience with or knowledge of Netsuite is a plus
