Payroll / Human Resource Administrator

Position Description:
Responsible for all facets of payroll and performing a variety of human resource support duties.
Assists with the day-to-day operation of the accounting department. Reports to Accounting Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1 to 2 years experience working in payroll. College degree preferred. 5 years of experience
with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Upload and process weekly payroll in ERP
Enter certified payroll information and prepare reports
Calculate and submit child support and garnishments
Responsible for E-verification
Calculate and submit payroll taxes weekly, monthly and quarterly
Run and track background checks
Understand and process union reports
Assist with employee onboarding and orientation
Coordinate and track safety training and reporting
Accounting responsibilities

JOB SPECIFICATION:
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual – Spanish / English- Preferred
Experience working with ERP
Knowledge of Payroll Tax Procedures
Knowledge of accounting procedures
Strong computer skills required
Must be highly organized, pay close attention to details and proactively follow-up.
Ability to manage workload in a fast paced and high intensity work environment.
Must display professional maturity and have ability to support and interact with all levels of management.
Able to work under minimal supervision
Enjoy interacting and working with others
Ability to multitask on a day to day basis.
