Key Hourly Manager
$17 / hr
Job Summary :
Along with assisting in the daily operations in the Back of House, the Key Hourly Manager is specifically responsible for expediting food and running the kitchen throughout the shift.
Responsibilities :
- Maintains proper appearance and cleanliness of all areas
- Sanitation of the entire kitchen area
- Ensure recipe adherence and perfect execution of all food
- Learn quality identifiers of all food items.
- Ensure walk in is clean, organized and all items are rotated correctly and labeled.
- Ensure all logs are filled out correctly and line checks are done according to policy.
- Understand basic principals on the aloha pos system.
- Understand all systems and equipment in the restaurant including making sure the dishwasher is working correctly and temping above 180 degrees on the final rinse.
- Ensure plates and trays are clean and ran out to the tables in a timely fashion
- Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of each back of house job position in the restaurant
- Hold all employees responsible for performing to Ted’s Café Escondido Restaurants’ standards and discipline accordingly
Work Conditions :
- Must be able to work 40 hours a week
- Varied working hours to include weekends, holidays, late evenings, and early mornings as needed
- Must be able to stand and / or walk 8 hours daily
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally, and objects over 50 lbs. rarely
- Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and climbing
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, crawling, and fine manipulation
Qualifications :
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years restaurant experience preferred but not required
- An equivalent combination of experience, education, and other qualifications may be considered
