What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Copy Coordinator position at TEGNA?

WXIA/WATL Atlanta is searching for a multi-talented, energetic and organized team player to join our Sales Support team as a Copy Coordinator. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational skills, work with a high level of accuracy, be very detail oriented, have the ability to problem solve and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Securing and processing traffic instructions for all advertisers.
  • Entering all copy related information using our WideOrbit traffic software.
  • Process all commercials received via FTP, Extreme Reach, internal production and other various delivery sources for daily processing by master control hub in Charlotte.
  • Maintain active and archival commercial library
  • Maintaining electronic files for all traffic instructions
  • Resolve commercial issues with master control hub in Charlotte, clients, and sales
  • Provide customer service and other assigned tasks on a local and national level
  • Performance of other duties as assigned

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Must possess a strong attention to detail
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Must be highly motivated and ambitious with a "can do" attitude
  • Previous broadcasting experience preferred
  • Experience in WideOrbit Traffic preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Travel: Rarely: less than 10%
  • Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
  • Physical Demands Set: Sedentary work: Involves sitting most of the time; walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
