We are seeking a Materials Scheduler for our Huntington, IN Plant.

Essential Job Functions:
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive master production schedule aligned with customer demand, inventory targets, and production capacity.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at the Huntington Operation to ensure the production plan supports overall business objectives and meets customer requirements.
- Capacity Planning:
- Conduct thorough capacity analysis to identify and address constraints in the production process.
- Work collaboratively with production managers at the Huntington Operation to optimize resource utilization and enhance production capabilities.
- Demand Forecasting:
- Partner with sales and marketing teams to gather accurate demand forecasts and translate them into actionable production plans.
- Implement forecasting models and tools specific to the Huntington Operation to improve accuracy and responsiveness to market changes.
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor inventory levels, establish reorder points, and implement strategies to prevent stockouts and reduce carrying costs.
- Ensure product availability at the Huntington Operation while optimizing inventory turns.
- Performance Metrics:
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) specific to the Huntington Operation to assess the effectiveness of production scheduling processes.
- Analyze data regularly to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
- Communication and Coordination:
- Facilitate regular communication between departments at the Huntington Operation to address production schedule changes, delays, and challenges.
- Collaborate with suppliers specific to the Huntington Operation to ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning processes and systems at the Huntington Operation.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and technological advancements to enhance scheduling capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business related fields, or 5 or more years of experience as a Scheduler in manufacturing.
- Proven experience as a Scheduler in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the automotive industry.
- In-depth knowledge of production planning, scheduling techniques, and demand forecasting.
- Proficiency in advanced planning and scheduling software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
