We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment and facility. This role plays a crucial part in minimizing downtime, maximizing productivity, and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks on production machinery and equipment according to established schedules. (Create preventive maintenance programs if necessary).

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Conduct routine inspections to identify and address potential equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.

Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and prioritize repairs to minimize production downtime.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment manuals using our CMMS (UpKeep).

Collaborate with production staff to optimize equipment performance and minimize waste.

Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment if needed.

Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending process enhancements or equipment upgrades.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing projects.
Qualifications:
High school diploma, equivalent or technical certification.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the packaging industry.
Strong mechanical aptitude and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Familiarity with automation systems and computerized maintenance management software (CMMS).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive and reliable.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
Punctuality and attendance is important.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds), stand for long periods of time, as well as sit, squat and climb stairs or ladders.
Comfortable working at heights.
Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
