Job title: Business Analyst IoT

Job Summary:
Work with stakeholders to develop and document business requirements for various business and infrastructure IoT solutions. Server ad liaison between stakeholders and users. Ensure the requirements are complete, accurate, and clearly defined. Develop and document additional product requirements, and research and assess market capabilities. Support buy vs. build decisions and oversee product development and rollout, in conjunction with other key stakeholders and users.
Responsibilities:
Will need to demonstrate that they are an individual that forms the link between the business, the engineering and architecture teams in IOT projects.
Will be required to understand the application of IoT in home automation, business automation, asset tracking, smart utilities, smart cities etc. Will need to understand the terminology used and can translate concepts and solutions into commercial outcomes.
Understand Functional and Non-Functional requirements and translate them into documentation / process maps.
Manage project scope and change requests; Define success criteria; Collaborate with technical team and articulate clearly for further implementation.
Will identify how the Internet of Things solution can improve our clients- organizational efficiency, reduce their costs or deliver new services to their customers.
Demonstrate continuous effort to improve deliverables, decrease turnaround times, streamline working processes and work cooperatively and jointly with internal and external sources to provide a quality service with a seamless client experience.
Will track issues and progress against project plans and host internal and external meetings.
Will be required to converse knowledgeably about new technologies in Internet of Things, development & testing practices and be able to follow as well as contribute to technical design discussions.
Qualifications:
8 Years' Experience as a business analyst with Experience in IOT, Preferably from the home automation Industry..
Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of IoT technologies and how they work. Should be familiar with programming languages such as Java, Python, and JavaScript and have experience with IoT platforms. Functional knowledge of IoTSystem architecture, cloud applications, mobile applications, RDBMS, application architecture, Development methodologies agile/scrum and virtual environments
Business acumen: Should have a good understanding of business processes and how IoT can be used to improve them. Should be able to translate business requirements into technical specifications and vice versa.
Analytical skills: Should be able to analyze data and identify trends and insights that can be used to improve IoT solutions.
Communication skills: Should be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Should be able to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
Should have a good functional understanding any of these below tools
o Requirements gathering tools like JIRA, Trello, etc.;
o IoT Platforms: AWS IoT, Azure IoT, etc.;
o Data Analytics: Tableau, Power BI, Google Analytics, etc.
o IoT Devices: Need to interact with IoT devices to understand how they work, troubleshoot issues, and identify opportunities for improvement. Ex: Amazon Echo, Google Nest, Ecobee, ETc..
Team focus and motivation, organizational and planning skills.
Ability to work across multiple teams/projects.
The candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with people from all levels within an organization.
The ability to learn a new business domain quickly is essential as well as the ability to ask investigative questions.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to explain technical issues in a concise and non-technical manner to business users.
Technical writing and verbal communication skills to document and explain models to and between multiple stakeholders.
