Role Summary:
Expertise with Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL & MySQL.
Expertise with Amazon RDS for Oracle and SQL Server.
Expertise with Aurora & RDS resiliency (HA & DR capabilities).
Expertise with Aurora & RDS security features and implementation.
Able to provision cloud infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
Able to comprehend customer requirements and make suitable data platform recommendations.
Plan and implement production-grade cloud database services to suit application needs.
Able to articulate cloud data platform architecture & engineering aspects to a wider audience.
Able to troubleshoot performance issues and work collaboratively with application partners.
Well-versed with AWS IaaS, PaaS & SaaS models/experience with Agile methodology.
Strong preference for candidates with a "can-do" attitude - "a doer/hands-on person", no matter the issue faced.
Minimum 4 years of experience in designing, building and implementing highly scalable and secure cloud solutions.
Able to implement the security controls in RDS datastore products to align with company security policy and best practices.
Able to integrate the RDS products with other services for operational aspects.
Able to implement automation and low-code/no-code patterns for RDS product provisioning and operational activities.
Qualifications: Degree in computer science, decision science, engineering, or related field.
