Performs ordered examinations of appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and X-ray and CT protocols of the individual site and reading physician.
Transports patients to and from the mobile coach/facility. Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the mobile coach and during the exam.
Maintains technical competency through ARRT CT registry examination, continued education, participation in hospital competency sponsored training programs.
Under guidance and approval of site ordering Physician, radiology supervisor and or Radiologist, administers contrast agents and/or radiopharmaceuticals according to site-specific protocols.
Completes and signs the Patient Screening form and reviews/explains the procedure to the patient.
Provides images to the facility in the desired site format.
Maintains confidentiality of all department and hospital information according to established procedures.
Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
If applicable, assists with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with BGMH and/or manufacturers guidelines.
Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility.
