What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ink Technician position at TekniPlex?
Ink Attendant is responsible for maintaining inks, adhesives, primers and lacquers for the press department.
Shift Hours: 3rd/10:45pm - 7:00am
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Make needed inks; adhesives; primers and lacquers required to run machines.
- Use PC to charge material to machines.
- Return unneeded material to inventory.
- Maintain daily housekeeping duties.
- Identify hazardous waste and dispose in correct hazardous waste containers.
- Manage waste or waste containers in satellite areas.
- Label containers with an indication of the hazard(s) in the contents.
- Inspect satellite areas to ensure good condition of waste containers.
- Place hazardous waste in the correct storage location at the designated time according to RCRA regulations.
- The Company maintains the right to revise and/or add duties in response to business requirements.
- Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of TABE (Reading and Math) test.
- Successful Completion of IVO certification training. (Industrial Vehicle Operator )
- Successful Completion of JSA reading. (Job Safety and Health Analysis)
- Successful Completion of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
- Reading/comprehension
- Move 400 lb. drums using drum dolly
- Mathematical skills
- Computer skills
- Knowledge of MSDS and P.P.E.
- Knowledge of Ink Rooms at the Liberty Facility
