Job Description
Build Coordinator to work with its Chicago based heavy equipment manufacturer. In this role you'll manage the logistical aspects of parts identification, ordering and tracking to facilitate the Engineering team's creation of new hydraulic systems. You'll work directly with the Engineering and Procurement teams. This role requires a hybrid work schedule of two days work from home and three days onsite. Limited, planned travel to Racine, WI may be required to support the building efforts. This position is planned to be a 12-mos contract.
Required Skills -
Excellent Communications - written and verbal; Intermediate MS Excel skills; HS diploma or greater; 5 years experience in logistics or material management
Job Duties -
The main function of the Build Coordinator role involves the coordination and management of the parts identification, ordering and tracking of components required for new hydraulic systems. You'll manage your work according to the Engineering production schedule. In this role, you'll work directly with the Engineering team to define and document the materials and parts needed for various system build efforts. You will monitor work processes in order to assess completeness, accuracy and conformation to standards and specifications. You will manage documents such as production schedules, parts orders, and parts data tables to determine material requirements and priorities. You will requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands. Revise production schedule, when required, due to design changes, labor or material shortages or other interruptions.

Skills:
Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, problem solving and interpersonal skills are all exceptionally important. You must demonstrate the ability to accurately document and record Engineering team information. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft suite is critical; candidates must have a strong Excel skill set (Intermediate - macros, v-lookups, pivot tables).
Desired Skills & Experience -
Prior client experience a strong plus. Demonstrated problem solving also a plus.
