Job description

· Manage the assignment of testbeds according to priorities and needs.

· Detailed troubleshooting of the testbed or the network being used during a test.

· Maintaining the Lab Log (history of problems and solutions).

· Lab announcements to be shared in the wifi-whole-home-test Slack channel.

· Maintain ,update and organize the Confluence page and the share drive.

· Daily update of the “Test Bed Status Dashboard”.

· Keep testbed wiring and cabling neat and labeled.

· Maintenance and upgrades of testbeds.

· Maintain the testbeds and all the equipment in place as close to OSHA rules as possible.

· Contact of vendor for support , testbed upgrades and demoes.

Overall lab duties

· Immediate support for ad-hoc request coming from test engineers: laptops, clients and DUT resets and swaps, remote connection setups and any other physical layer needs.

· Manage the assignment of testbeds according to priorities and needs.

· Detailed troubleshooting of the testbed or the network being used during a test.

· Maintaining the Lab Log (history of problems and solutions).

· Lab announcements to be shared in the wifi-whole-home-test Slack channel.

· Maintain updated and organized the Confluence page and the share drive.

· Daily update of the “Test Bed Status Dashboard”.

· Enforcement of the Lab Rules

· Keep testbed wiring and cabling neat and labeled

· Maintenance and upgrades of testbeds

· Maintain the testbeds and all the equipment in place as close to OSHA rules as possible.

· Contact of vendor for support and demoes 13)Maintain the lab as cleared and cleaned as possible.

· 14)Manage access to new hires and vendors to the labs.

· 15)Setup access to vendors and setup their visits to CC, when needed.

· 16)Inventory and organization of Comcast and third-party devices, netbook parts and components.

· 17)Shipping and receiving of lab equipment 18)Interaction with the organizations in charge of network upgrades and IT.

· 19)Contact the Facilities team to uncrate new equipment and to move any testbed 20)Request (INFRA ticket in JIRA), receive and distribute Comcast DUTs for testing

Skills required -

· Experience in lab setup, management, and maintenance.

· Knowledge of different chambers setups and Octoscope testbed troubleshooting

· Familiarity with DOCSIS cable modem trobleshooting

· Knowledge of basic WiFi functionality

· Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence.

Good to have - Knowledge of different test bed setups - Quadstack mesh, Packet capture knowledge

Job Type: Contract
